Wishing Hearts are supported by a fantastic group of volunteers including our Board of Trustees, alongside our Founder, Abby, who is employed on a part-time basis to support the ongoing work of the charity.
ABBY WINCEL
Founder
Abby has studied a MA in Charity Management and has worked for several years in older care environments including care homes and local charities in Kent. Passionate about making sure that older people receive support which is still fun and engaging, she aims to provide this through her work with Wishing Hearts.
KIERAN JAMESON
Chair of The Board
Kieran is a creative and ambitious individual with a background in the construction sector. Kieran enjoys the contrast that Wishing Hearts brings to his day-to-day work, providing opportunities to find unique ways to support older people and ensure that the charity has a prosperous future.
DEBBIE CHALMERS-STEVENS
Trustee
Debbie is passionate about ensuring older people have the right access to care and support, and also enjoys the formal development of the charity that she is able to contribute to as a Trustee. She is particularly passionate about ensuring the charity makes the right decisions to support a long-term impact on residents in Maidstone.
TOM FISHENDEN
Trustee
Tom has worked in the Charity Sector since his career began - working in federated charities before moving into a self-employed freelance role. His background is marketing and communications, and he enjoys using these skills to champion the work Wishing Hearts do for people in his local community.
